Sund Studio is a small graphic design firm with a big heart. We like to think we bring the best of both worlds to our clients: skills and experience gained working for some of the biggest companies in the world, and the small agency’s ability to focus on you and your project, from start to finish.
We focus mainly on print design; editorial design, annual report design, and alumni magazine design are our specialties. Our clients tend to be either nonprofits or schools, but we are open to working with any business whose heart is in the right place. In addition to print design, we also offer logo design, branding, web design, photo research, photo editing, and copywriting.
Our design firm is located in Asheville, North Carolina, and we serve clients globally. We are experts in digital communication and remote project management. This approach has allowed us to serve clients in British Columbia, Nova Scotia, Italy, California, Connecticut, Maryland, Massachusetts, New York, Texas, and Vermont. So regardless of your physical location, we can provide you with the graphic design and marketing help you need.
Kristen Winstead / Owner, Creative Director
Kristen received her B.A. in graphic design and writing from Hampshire College in Amherst, Massachusetts. After college, she worked for Disney Publishing Worldwide as a print designer and photo editor, until opening Sund Studio in 2009. She is passionate about graphic design as a way of connecting with others, and loves the challenge of distilling complex ideas into succinct and powerful imagery. Her mission is to create more beauty in the world, and finds meaning through supporting those who are making the world a better place.
When she isn’t working, Kristen spends time with her partner and four-year-old daughter. She loves herbalism, gardening, reading (she almost always has a dozen books going at a time), dancing ballet, playing bass guitar, writing poetry, and being a kitten foster mom.
